SHALAKYA DEPARTMENT

Shalakya Tantra is one of the important branch of Ayurveda dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the sensory organs and structures above the clavicle. These include eyes, ears, nose, throat, head, and neck.The term “Shalakya Tantra” comes from the word “Shalaka”, which means a rod or probe used in ancient surgical practices. This reflects the precision and care used in Shalakya Tantra treatments.

Objective of department

1) To provide best possible treatment to patient in ophthalmic, E.N.T. and oro-dental diseases

2) To establish the Ayurvedic approach to allergic, degenerative, diabetic, hypertensive and endocrine, disorders related to Eye and ENT and Oro–dental disorders.

Facilities of department

1) Department is having well maintained eye and ENT OPD as well as IPD

2) operation theatre for cataract surgery and minor ENT surgeries

3) Department participates in various Health checkup camps organised by institute.
