Curricular Study 4½ years
Compulsary Internship 1 Year
Total span of course: 5½ years

Course Outcome:-
The aim of the BAMS course is to impart thorough and comprehensive training to the candidate in the various aspects of Ayurveda so that at the end of the course he/she shall be able to perform the following:
Recognize the importance of Ayurveda Principles in the context of the health needs of the community.
To be able to diagnose and manage acute and chronic diseases on the basis of clinical assessment and appropriately selected and conducted investigations.
To be able to carry out efficient Ayurvedic management of all types of ailments after quickly assessing the patient and synthesizing available clinical and Investigational information to formulate totality of symptoms .
To be able to identify social, economic, environmental, biological and emotional determinants of health in a given case, and take them into account while planning therapeutic, rehabilitative, preventive measures/strategies.
To keep abreast of the current knowledge and recent advances in the field by self learning and /or participating in continuing Medical Education Programmes.
To be able to critically analyze relevant published research literature and use them appropriately to influence practice of Ayurveda.)
Admission
Eligibility and Criteria for Admission
To be a part of the Institute, it is mandatory for aspirants to fulfill certain eligibility criteria to get admission to BAMS course.
Eligibility criteria for admission in to BAMS: –
- Candidates are required to pass Class 12 or equivalent examination with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in both Class 11 and 12 from a recognized board.
- He/she should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission.
- An aspirant from general category needs to secure an aggregate of 50% in their Class 12 Board examination. While, for SC/ST/OBC candidates, the qualifying percentage is 40%
- Candidates need to have qualified NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) by securing minimum qualifying cutoff percentile to get admission in BAMS course.
- For foreign students any other equivalent qualification approved by the University will be allowed.
The following documents must be submitted along with application from:-
- Attested copies of the certificate and detailed mark sheets.
- 6 recent passport sizes colored photographs of the candidate.
- Attested copy of the secondary certificate for the proof of date of birth.
- Character Certificate from the head of the institution last attended.
- Certificate of bona-fide residence duly issued by the competent authority.
- Scholarship or merit certificate, if any
- SC/ST/SBC/OBC certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Medical fitness certificate
- NEET Certificate
- College Allotment letter
