DEPARTMENTAL PROFILE:

PrasutitantraEvamStriroga is an important clinical department in Ayurved that deals with women’s health and gynecological disorders. Here in StriRoga we deals with management of ArtavaVyapad(Menstrual disorder), Yoni Vyapad(Female reproductive tract disorders), StanaRoga(Breast Diseases), Vandhyatva(Infertility) and Jarajanyavyadhi (Menopausal syndrome), while Prasuti Tantra deals with GarbhadhanaSanskara(Pre-Conceptional care), GarbhiniParicharya (Antenatal care), PrasavaParicharya (Labour care) and SootikaParicharya (Puerperal care).

The 6 bedded in- patient unit deals with disorders of women and creates health awareness regarding dietary habits, lifestyle modifications and maintenance of personal hygiene.

 FEATURES:

Department has excellent clinical facilities including well equipped labour room, operation theatre, general ward for IPD.

Ug students get ample experience to observe and trained clinically by observing and intracting with actual patients in the ward (IPD). They also get to observe Ayurvedic therapies like ‘Yoni- prakshalan/ yoni dhoopana/ yoni pichu/ kshar karma/ Uttar Basti’ .
