Department of Agad Tantra (Toxicology)

Agadtantra is one of the eight branches of ayurveda.it deals with the study of the poisons, its action, clinicalmanifestation, diagnosis of acute, chronic and cumulative toxicity and treatment. Poison refers to mineral’s plants and animal kingdom as well as artificial poisons prepared from poisonous drugs.

OBJECTIVES: –

• To identify and classify poisons.
• To understand the effects of poison on the human’s body.
• To provide quality education to the under graduate students.

Facilities of departments:-

• Department is having Agadtantra OPD and 3 bedded IPD with De-addiction unit.
• It has also been a well-equipped museum with modlescharts and specimen including poisons plants, etc.
